Job Description

Seeking an experienced Border Sewer. Must have an updated resume to be considered for the position.

This position is hourly to include piece work/production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Machines: Set up and run industrial single-needle or specialized sewing machines.
  • Sew Borders & Zippers: Stitch boxing/borders for cushion panels and install zippers smoothly according to specifications.
  • Read Tickets: Follow production work orders, style tags, and schematic instructions.
  • Match Patterns: Align stripes, plaids, or nap direction on fabric and leather components.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished pieces for loose threads, skipped stitches, or crooked seams.
Job Requirements
  • Experience: 1 to 3+ years of industrial sewing experience, ideally within the upholstered furniture industry.
  • Skills: Proficient handling of heavy fabrics, vinyl, or leather, with strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Physical: Ability to sit or stand for long shifts, perform repetitive arm/wrist movements, and lift light bundles of material.
