Line Operator

Paper production company seeking qualified applicants for their line operator positions.

Job Summary: Hand pack a variety of paper products in boxes then stack them on pallets to be shipped along with other assigned duties within the converting process.

Education/Experience: No experience necessary. All training will be conducted at the time of employment.

• Ability to lift 25lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.

• Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism.
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to accurately read a standard and metric tape measure.
• Ability to safely use tools within the converting operation.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Inspect and document materials, products, and packaging to ensure compliance of quality standards as specified within the product spec sheet.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
• Perform stacking within pallet configurations as specified on the product spec sheet.
• Label placement
• Proper roll placement of cartons
• Carton sealing inspections
• Tape machine set -up and tape placement
• Raw material prep
• Start cut applications and cut quality assurance.
• Core plug insertion with items that require core plugs.
• Time management and uptime maximization
• Finished goods stacking of product following safe lifting methods.
• Operate bailing equipment in a safe manner to ensure waste bails are secured with bailing material and properly labeled for identification purposes.
• Required overtime hours on off days when necessary to ensure vacancies are covered and operations remain efficient.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and occasionally up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and step up/down a platform and perform repetitive tasks
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Salary Expections:

• Day shift 7a-7p $17.00
• Night shift 7p-7a $18.00
• Pay varies based off tasks performed for certain departments.
