CNC Operator Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of technical drawings, machining processes, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
• Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accuracy in production.
• Perform regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions of finished products.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Program CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software for efficient machining operations.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Experience

• Previous experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with tooling, logic controllers, and basic math skills is essential for success in this position.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are necessary to ensure quality production outcomes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
